I am moving to a new Blog Home…

by The Geek on January 2, 2010

This Blog NAME just did not do the trick. It was used out of convenience. So, I am going to discontinue with this BLOG, and move all my content to my new one. Prehistoric Geek.

We have expanded our vision and I am going to expend all my energies on that Blog and its mission.

Morals, ethics and attitudes

by Jim on September 28, 2009

The above can be used as a measuring stick for any group or individual. I am in my mid fifties, I lived in Alaska for thirty years, left there, never went back, spent the last 20 years traveling and now living on the west coast. Why did I feel you need to know that? Experience. My experience.

One of my experiences is an ongoing legal battle over an injury. My injury. Six surgeries, fused neck and a fused back, and no one to hold accountable.

I have SOOOOO much experience with the medical and legal professions(?) and now you know why I am writing about morals, ethics and attitudes.

You see, the legal profession has kept me broke and the medical profession has kept me in agony for over ten years. Why can’t they just man-up and do what is right? Lack of morals, bad ethics and nasty attitudes.

It was once said that “Few of us write great novels; all of us live them.” Well, I am going to write mine and I am going to name those people that I feel are responsible. Not here and not now, but very soon.

I will say that in my experience, most of the problems in America can be traced directly to one group of people that have a lack of morals, bad ethics and nasty attitudes; lawyers. Look at Washington D.C., how many politicians are attorneys? The Clinton’s are, The Obama’s are. How many others are there? You would be surprised!

So, how does this relate to marketing? Good morals, honorable ethics and great attitudes will make you rich, and I am not talking about just money here. Think about those people you most like to spend time with or those purveyors that you drive that extra distance just to do business with time and again.

If you find yourself in a compromising position, just do the right thing. If you have followed my Blog you know that I wrote about Unitus Credit Union vs. Wells Fargo. BTY, I am still fighting Wells Fargo! So if you DON’T do the right thing, you might just become the subject of a blog entry!

The NEW American Way?

June 18, 2009

The “Small Business” is the foundation for the American economy, yet we are being ignored as constituents by our elected employees (politicians) and soon we are to be taxed out of business. Our elected officials are going to tax people making over $250,000 per year by eliminating line item deductions. For many Americans, that sounds [...]

This has gotten out of control

June 14, 2009

“It is the BIG CORPARATIONS that are DESTROYING AMERICA, they have powerful lobbyist and have too much influence!”
Really? The 545 or so elected employees of the 300 plus million employers DO NOT have to take the “pay-offs, loot, graft, accept bribes and gifts, reciprocate any favors”, etc. But we all know they do. So, IF [...]

To Serve is the Noblest Profession

June 1, 2009

The highest calling is to serve another person. Think about that. A soldier serves the people of his country, unselfishly, and sometimes makes the ultimate sacrifice in their service to us. I would like to use a politician as an example, but I can’t. If there were any Statesman serving, I could.
How can I segue [...]
